Brandon's Photos

I feel obligated to post these photos because I told everyone that we took them. However, I think they are all really bad. While the disposable camera had a huge effect I can't blame everything on them. They are also taken from really bad angles. The lighting is bad and they are blurry. The worst part is that they don't show you how cute he really is. I promise. He is really cute.

I have just finished reading from the beginning after visiting your blog for the first time. I identify with many of the things you write after having our twins at the UVRMC NICU for 7 weeks and our Katelyn at the NICU at University Hospital. Our neonatologist at University Hospital came over to care for her from PCMC, he said he was the director over there. His name was Dr. Null, if you have run into him at all. We liked him very much. He was good at explaining things to us and was always very kind.

It makes me smile everytime I read Katelyn’s name. What a coincidence that we both chose that name and even spelled it the same way. I didn’t know you had chosen that name until a couple of days after our Katelyn was born. It is a beautiful name. I can’t believe how blonde your babies’ hair is! I can’t believe how tiny they are. I have had tiny babies, but not as tiny as yours. My NICU babies were all over 3 lbs. The picture with Brent’s wedding ring blew me away. Is this your first experience with the NICU or have you done it before with Blake and Derek?

If you don’t have hospital indemnity insurance, check into it or talk to Kevin about it ASAP. They also have a special policy specifically for the NICU. It would probably be worth it for you to sign up, even if they have already been in the hospital for a month.

Your family has been in our thoughts and prayers a lot. We would really love to help watch your boys sometime if that would help. I understand the concern of leaving them with people they don’t know very well, we also went through that a few weeks ago when our Katelyn was born and we were in Salt Lake so much. But where you are having such an extended hospital stay, if you run out of resources (or even if you don’t) we would be more than happy to have your boys come play, or even have all of you over for dessert or something first if that would help your boys feel more comfortable. (if you have time for things like that)

We’ll keep you in our prayers.
